Materials Store

A materials store offers many possibilities for artists and craft persons alike. Of course, those who work with clothing will probably have the most familiarity with such a location. Some people may also work with dolls.

The definition of an artist varies greatly. For this reason, those who require regular visits to a materials store will have varying purposes. Some may use the different materials to create a variety of surfaces upon which they may use such things as paints or drawing supplies. Others may utilize different textiles as the main media for their works themselves.

A materials store may be appealing to both those who work two dimensionally and those who create 3D works. When it comes to two dimensional images, an artist may use different sections of fabric in a similar fashion to collage. Someone with greater interest in sculptures will probably use frameworks or liquids to add stiffness to their pieces.
